Every dollar vraniCURE raises directly supports groundbreaking cancer research through our partnership with the Until It's Cured (TIL) Alliance. Together, we are advancing innovative therapies for patients facing metastatic and hard-to-treat cancers—those with the greatest unmet medical needs. The Until It’s Cured: TIL Alliance is a groundbreaking research initiative led by scientists and clinicians at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Genome Engineering (CGE) — an esteemed biomedical research center advancing engineered cell therapies and next-generation cancer treatments. CGE’s researchers are pioneering a novel approach that harnesses the power of a patient’s own immune system to fight cancer by genetically enhancing Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs). These are immune cells naturally found inside tumors, and through cutting-edge CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, researchers can remove internal “brake genes” that suppress the immune response, effectively empowering these TILs to better recognize and destroy cancer cells from within. Early clinical trials have shown promising results in advanced metastatic cancers — including disease stabilization for multiple patients and a complete remission in one individual — offering new hope where conventional therapies have fallen short.

This research could redefine how metastatic solid tumors are treated, expanding beyond current standards to personalized, one-time therapies with durable benefits. But promising science needs resources to move from lab success into broader clinical impact — including scaling manufacturing, launching expanded clinical trials for breast, ovarian, sarcoma, and other cancers, and increasing access for patients who need it most.
